Although you could recognize the HITAIR logo on some vests or jackets, please note that you will find HELITE certified products only in our online shop.
Given the excellent quality of the fabric produced by HITAIR, HELITE France referenced it as a supplier for the textile in which HELITE France incorporates its own airbag system.
To avoid any confusion, we would also like to stress that the jackets presented and sold here under the HELITE label have been specially designed for motorized sports, and are consequently equipped with the state-of-the-art airbag systems developed by HELITE France.
That system is the only system in the world that guarantees protection in less than a one-meter fall, i.e. in 0.2 seconds.
Today, HELITE is therefore the only brand in the world to have received a European CE certification and probate (DOT equivalent) for Airbag jackets.
This certification applies to the fabric and to the airbag itself.
WHY USE A HELITE JACKET?
To protect the shoulders, elbows and the back.
"Helite" jackets are equipped with European certified hulls, but more importantly they include the HELITE Airbag system.
Whenever the driver or passenger is thrown away from its vehicle, the HELITE airbag activates automatically (in less than 0.2 seconds) and protects the whole trunk in less than a one-meter fall.
The system is mechanically activated, to avoid any malfunction.
Only a Kevlar cable links it to the vehicle.
There is no built-in electronic or pyrotechnic device.
Whenever the driver or passenger is thrown away from its vehicle, the cable activates a system that allows gas (CO²) to inflate airbags.
The jacket and its airbags form a shield, thus reducing the impact 25 times more that the best protecting hull currently available on the market.
After a few seconds, once danger is over, the gas will flow out of the airbags through a valve and will free the driver or passenger from that incredible protection.
